Up up Away..

As I sit here tonight, I am a little sad & EXCITED.
Karson just turned 8months yesterday, when at about 6mo he started to show us early off that walking was going to be happening pretty soon. Last Monday night after family home evening, we were getting ready to read books, when karson had plans of his own. It caught us off guard at first, karson is So determined, at first he picked himself up by holding the little car garage, and then crawled over to the ottoman, proceeded to walked around it, then one hand came off, then the other.. WAIT!! I am SOOO not ready for this.. ( Or, Maybe I am..) Thank goodness no first steps, Yet, however We both feel it's Very soon, Soon as This month soon. From what my parents told me, I walked at 9 months, and Kent Ran at 9 months, Karson's cousin walked at 9mo as well. Here it is. He's soon to be Up up and gone. I was thinking how this could work in my favor, as we are moving, packing, box's all over the place. I have another little helper, to really help get into more mischief :) We are hoping to be getting into the new place middle or end of July, to start with getting it ready for 3 boys, me and............. a dog. Still debating on what breed. We were at the Human Society, and lady told us that Pugs were really great with kids, ( For the Smaller breed dogs, ) We had the Huge White lab, ( Bought from puppy stage, ) Yeah.. not going to do that Again. We both looked at each other, and Said NO to pugs either, ( Nothing Wrong with them AT all) Just not for our family.. esp with kaid. We need a dog, that is sure to with held some major " Love tackling.." from kaid & karson. Well.. off to watch a movie with my hub's..

Last Day School, First Day Summer Break!

For Kaid's last Day of school, his class had a party, and his teacher asked me if I would like to help!! I pretty much was Speechless! Reason being... All year ( pretty much) I would e-mail his teacher and ask,if I would be able to help out in the class room, or do something to be there to watch him grow. For some weird reason, she kept telling me that they had all the help they needed.. ( Sniff Sniff ) So when she asked me On the LAST day.. you can imagine I was Stoked! As karson and I arrived, carrying our Rice crispies that kaid and I made, we were greeted by many hugs at the door by kaid and his class mates. This last year, having kaid in a CBC3 ( Special Needs Program ) Was Extremely Difficult for me. The whole year I fought for him to have more time in the " General Ed " kindergarten, and to be able to play sports with everyone, not just separate. So my heart was a little heavy as I opened the door, to see his class room. I had been in there several times for meetings and such, however not seeing kaid interact with his friends, and how others interacted with him. As I slowly walked in, I was rushed ( not even kidding ) by at least 5 of kaids classmates, and kaid. The love that was in that room was unspeakable. I fought to hold back the tears, as I could feel them wanting to slide down my cheek. I was Happy, I was not just happy that Kaid was Proud of his class, But I was Happy that Kiad was Shinning, unlike I have ever seen before. For some people that have not been around many kids with Special needs, kaids class had some pretty challenged little kids. When I walked in they were playing Musical Chairs, there were 4 kids left, kaid being one of them. As the music started, they started walking around, as it stopped, kaids little friend tripped on some thing on the floor, and she fell. Not even skipping a beat, he ran up to her, held out his hand and helped her up. This in turn was the result of kaid giving up his chair to her. I was really moved, I felt like pinching myself to see if I was dreaming. I knew kaid was sweet, however I know how he is competitive. To watch him give something up for someone else moved me in a way that I can not explain.
When it was time to go out to Recess, Kaid booked it, and started playing. When all of a sudden, a older grade class came out for recess, kaid started running towards them. I was about to run after him, when the Recess monitor lady walked towards me. She started telling me that everyday when kaids class would come out, this fourth grade class would come out as well to play soccar. She said that the first day kaid saw how to play, he got it down and they excepted him as one of there own. As I was watching him play and interact with them, he Kicked the ball to another little boy, whom in turn made the goal, as they all cheered, and said " Good Job Kaid. " She added, saying that he was a real popular guy, not shy at all just loved to be around people. And then it happened, I began to cry, not little tear either. We are talking embarrassing cry. I tried to hide it as well, by walking around the track to watch him in action, snapping pictures to block my blotchy face. This is All I HAD PRAYED FOR. For kaid to feel like he was just like everyone else. It is So different when all you want for your kids, to never be hurt, to never be made fun of for being the way he is, for not talking like everyone else. I can not always guard that, however I can build up his self-confidence so he will always know how important he is. And watching him today, I know that he knows, that he is one Awesome little guy.

I believe in angels,
The kind that heaven sends,
I am surrounded by angels,
But I call them friends.

Many people will walk in
and out of your life,
but only true friends will leave
footprints in your heart.

Then the next day to kick off our First day of summer break, we went to our " Rubber Park" aka, Washington Park.
For the longest time I have been calling it that, I just love it. Kory, Kent's little brother came and helped me. Kaid has a special bond with him. It was hard to take pic of kaid as, he was running here, there, and then the Sand, where he stayed for over 1 hour. Karson, got his first little swing ride, which he was all smiles about.
Can not wait for more Fun times This Summer...

Mr. Independent

As we were sitting down for dinner the other night, kar was unusually fussy. Being that he is teething, I just chalked it up to that, and gave him a teething toy, being that he already finished his dinner. However... much to my surprise All he wanted was his own spoon, and container full of food again! I did not really realize that while we were all enjoying our meal, he was just sitting in his chair, with his bottle. From the minute I opened the peaches up, and began to spoon them in, he grabbed the container, and began to suck them out!! The funny thing was, He had been eating all day, so this was what was odd.. Just out of the blue, he started making these.. pig noises.. well.. to us they sounded really cute. TO other's.. maybe not so much. Every once and awhile I would pull the container away so he would get a breather. When he was realizing that the food was close to being gone, he tipped it upside down, and got it out that way.. ( 7 mo old.. ) Smart little thing.. . This is going to be T*R*O*U*B*L*E when he's older! As I " Tried" to remove the container from him, to clean him off.. he' was NOT having it! It was, as though.. I took a piece of his heart away when I took his food away, I just melted. You can see his brand new Pearly White Baby Teeth that are breaking through. After taking him out of the chair, getting him in the bath, that's when he finally started to calm down.. Sweet little guy, I am So glad that one of my boy's is an Eater!

Sweet Angles

I have been So Excited that Summer is upon us, meaning; NO School, long days at the park, sleeping in with the boys, so much wonderful times to come.  I have been taking a ton of Pictures lately, as It's AMAZING to us, how Quickly Karson is growing up, Kaid as well.  With kaid, it was different, as with any Firsts.  I was able to take motherhood in Slowly.  This second time around, It's quick, I am  pinching myself that he's almost 8mo old!  We are  So blessed to have two distinctively different boys.  One that is " Mr. Boss" tells' you as it is, ( My bold Personality Guy) And another that is growing into his own little self, Living for affection from his brother and fam. Kaid and karson are the best of pals, Though I still have to very much watch Kaid with him,  Kaid is stronger than he realizes sometimes.  Today, was super sweet, as we were finishing up reading books, kaid wanted to pick karson from off the floor, and place him in his jumper.  What A big Helper!  So WITH me helping, he picked him up supporting his head, and pretty much doing all the lifting, carefully resting him in his place. Later in the day as kar, was in his pack and play, while I was cleaning  the house, kaid thought it was great fun to join karson for a little play.  I found it irresistible, I had to snap some shots of them.  Though I did tell kaid that the Play Crib, was just for Karson, it was in the middle of the living room, ( A Little hard for him, not to climb in and play) And the priceless Crib shot, as I was checking on karson tonight, I just melted as his little leg was dangling out of the crib. I had just taken the bumper off when I changed his bedding.  Note to self: Make sure bumper is ALWAYS on.. lol..  I Love  these Giggly, silly, goofy, lovable boys, I would not change One day being able to be at home with them to capture all these wonderful Moments ~

A little bit of Dance.. A little bit of Humor 80's

I have been cleaning my house/Apt all day.. Trying to keep a clean house when the kids are awake is bit of a challenge. Granted kaid alone can do some major destruction to my " clean house", So as kaid was in school, and Kar's asleep, I plugged in my Ipod in my ears' and started jamming out while I was cleaning. Just a short post, I was thinking.. Everyone needs some good tunes to work out to, dance to, clean there house to.. so that's what this post it. Then my sister called as I was posting, and told me of a very funny website. Akwardfamilyphotos.com. I can not remember the last time I have laughed this hard!! Since my hubby is 14 years older than me, I would make jokes about his 80's styles, quite often in family photo's. As I was skimming through some of his brothers, and sister's prom pic, a while back, I remembered they looked Identical to the one That I am posting.. However this is NOT any RELATION to us. Pretty funny that this was in style, it seems' only aprorate that we can dress like this, only one day a year. That day bening HALLOWEEN!
scroll down...

CAUTION:
Some of this music is. 80's... and some just Random Memories in music to me. Music has a special place for me, It makes me feel better, as when I am mad, or in a sour mood, I will pop in , Disturbed and start feeling better.. ( Note.. I will not post that group.. I am sure some of you will find it quite offensive... Sorry )

Enjoy..

Kaids & Karson's First's

As I was thinking of a blog title..( I am trying to save on time, as I am loosing more and more of it with two boys.) I decided to post a blog of Karson's and Kaid's Firsts. It's really Ironic that Kaid lost his first baby tooth on the 27th, Karson just got TWO baby teeth in on the Bottom...
I have tried and Tried to take pictures of both of them ALL day on the 27Th, going around ( feeling like a nerd) Crawling on my hands and knees trying to get the " Shot" I swear, I DO not have what It takes'..Every time karson' or kaid smile really big, I click the camera, and then look and it's not on, or I have it in the wrong setting. Trying not to curse at myself, in front of the boys' I just smile.. and try for another time.Thoe's who Have boy's will know that getting that first shot is a miracle, at least for me. So here are what I did take, Kaid was really so proud of his Tooth. He show es everyone,At school, the teacher Say's at sharing time kaid stood up and talked all about his tooth.. I SO wish I was there for that! As well, He' was SO happy that Tinkerbell was going to visit him aka. Tooth Ferry and leave him a present.

And karson, My sweet little boy, if his soothie is not in his mouth, his fingers are. We very much prefer the soothie over the fingers, as... it's just a Tad eariser to take away the soothie. rather than his fingers.
I will post more cute teeth shots of kar when I feel a second wind, for a photo op day..
Kris.. This is when I need you... Well. not just because Of my Major Lack of Photography...
