We had family night last night, we went to Red Robin, followed by going to see the Bedtime Story movie. Kaid was So excited, (So we thought) and Karson was Full, and Fast asleep. A little background in case you do not know, We took kaid to Pirates of the Caribbean when he was months old, he Loves the Movies! He would just sit ( With popcorn of course) and be so content. NOT the case anymore. As we went in, Kent got in line to get some treats he took karson, while kaid and I went in to get seats. Walking in, the theatre was packed, we always sit pretty much in the same area, however this time we had to sit fairly high, and on the opposite side. As Kent came to join us, kaid was excited to see his drink and popcorn! we got about 35min into the movie, ( just to when it was getting really good) and karson woke up... screaming bloody murder! Ahhh... So I tried to nurse him really fast. Strike One.. that was not working, tried his diaper. Strike Two.. I then tried to burp him maybe. Strike Three.. I got up and proceeded to walk out to give the poor people around us a break. WOW! All heck broke loose, Kaid is a 100% Mommy's boy.. As I walked out.. I could here him scream my name from the back of the theatre. Then I see him bolt loose from kent and Run down the stairs, ( screaming my name the whole time mind you...) until he got to me. Once he came to me, he was So upset, he ran back towards where daddy was! Well.. this was right in front of all the innocent people that were trying to watch the movie. Kent thought that kaid found me and everything was great, he could not see that kaid was flailing on the ground in the front of the theatre, all sprawled out on the ground watching the movie with his hands placed behind his head. Trying not to get So upset, I called for him, Nope that was not working. Eventually kent saw that Kaid was running back and forth from the front of the stage, to where people would walk, trying to get attention. We all walked out and gratefully got our money back! Though we both we so bummed we wanted to see the end. It's So sad because I think this was the last time we take our boys ( For awhile) to the theatre. Even when we went to go see Wallie, kaid was bored. Yeah... the good times are gone.. the movie times that is.. We both think though because kaid is structure boy, and we sat in a completely different area, that's what got him all out of his routine.. Also that this movie was not a cartoon, with Cars, or Trucks!

4 love notes:
awh shucks, thats a bummer, I know how much you love taking them to the movies. Give it another year or two..or five, you'll be able to do it again. This is the reason why our dvd collection is so big, we are in the same boat.
Big time bummer. Ah, kids. They keep us humble AND they keep us in line. (What a new seat?! No way.)
Maybe you'll can get a babysitter and make it a "date" next time you want to see a movie, eh? Maybe not . . . babysitters are hard, too.
yeah.. i am not too bummed.. Save money I guess. It's Getting crazy how much it is to have the 3 of us go to the movies, and popcorn, drinks, and treats.. crazy!!
I'm so sorry! What a horrible experience! Hey at least you can save some money now, or at least just save the movies nights for you and Kent.
