All Good!

Endoscopy Day.  We had to be at Emanuel Hospital this morning at 6am, For some reason my alarm clock did not go off until 6:05am. AHH!  Good thing that his procedure was not until 8am.  Getting to the hospital was like traveling back  in time in 2005, when kaid had his Tubes put in. As soon as we strolled up to the 3rd floor admitting, he started to get antsy.  Thinking to myself,  how much I hoped that things would go smoothly for him. Knowing that The blessing that Our Good Friend Steve J gave him the night before, Heavenly Father was looking after him, and we were in good hands.   8Am, the nurse came in our room, and gave him a little versed, and then wheeled him downstairs.  In the operating room, they asked kaid if he wanted to watch a movie! ( just until the dr. Came in)  As he perked up all happy, he picked jungle book... Helping me with the pain in my heart seeing, kaid's reaction to the medicine's effect on him, I tried to leave the room.  Kent came in, and held his hand, after the IV was in.  It's So hard watching your little one so helpless. Kaid gave us this look like,         " what am I doing in here"  I know that he would not remember anything,  it was so sad, as his little eye's rolled back, and softly closed, I began to cry.  Yup I was a baby.  This was a simple little procedure, and I am crying, well... kent did too.. HA!  20 min later, and we went to see him, these pictures are of him not wanting to wake up.. he was SO groggy, It took him 45min to wake up.  As soon as he did, Sponge bob was on quietly in the back ground of his room, he perked up and said " bob bob.." Aka , Sponge bob.  As we were being discharged from the little area, kaid was slowly getting back to his self, wanting to be babied, and carried :) This time.. I had my stroller, nope.. I did not carry him... lol.. Just wanted to update and let everyone know it went great. The biopsy comes back next week,  other than that.. the pictures we have of the inside's.. look all good..

Life Could be Worse..

Well.. I was having Such a bad day today, we are moving, and it's well.. sad and overwellming, to say the least.  When I went on the Internet looking for baby things, and found this FUNNY site. I could not stop laughing, hopefully it's not just me.. lol.  I uploaded all the pictures, to the right of this post. As  I was going though all of them, I realized that I really do not have it bad.  There are people out there that have had some pretty crappy things happen to them.. ( The bulldozer in the house.. ) I wanted to pass this along if there was other's out there that needed a good chuckle.. This just helped me a little more with the moving, and packing.. I am not too sure how.. but I think that humor, really makes life better!   I need it right now as well!!

This morning, I was espessially Tired.  We were woken up to kaid at 3:30am wanting to
play.  AHH.. well.. let's just pray this is a phase.. lol.
So.. as you can imangie I was a bit tired. As Kaid and I were playing, he kept saying..  " mo mo." I was asking, him back " did you say MOM". With a shake of his head NO. I kept going
down the list of possibilities. Cow? Milk? More? hmm.. Then, you could tell he was
getting frustrated, then I said, MOSES? With a Big smile. ( I should have caught it! ) He
shook his head YES, for what seamed like forever, then he said. " Bel.. Bel."
My heart Sank, as these are his most Special Friends, ( Cousins ) in the whole world.
I talked about how they lived In Utah, he remembered, but did not quite know
why we could not drive to see them.  I just realize just how much he truly Miss's them.
I took him down to the Office, and we looked at pictures, So Kris, I am posting this for Kaid,
So.. I can have it on my blog as well. These Pictures are Priceless.. You are truly One of a kind

Another Hospital Visit :(

Kaid had his GI, appointment today.  I was excited, and also hoping for a miracle from the

doctor as of why he's not eating.. lol.   We met with the Dr. Very nice guy, went over
the whole Celiac Disease, and told me that blood work was accurate, that he tested positive,
however they need to take a biopsy of his small intestine which with that they preform an Upper Endoscopy. .  Ah... My heart sank a bit. Another hospital procedure..
Man this poor kid has been through the ringer with being poked, and prodded.
I asked the doctor all sort's of questions about the procedure; how long, will he need to be
with an IV sedation, or completely out, will this hurt him, can you give him somthing so he's calm before the IV?  He was very informative, letting me know that this
is very standard with Down syndrome little one's, and children who test positive for Celiac. they would  give him an IV, so that he could breath on his own..  Ooh.... . I wanted to update about my day, His big day is in  2 weeks, At the Hospital.  Everything will go smoothly, Kaid just gets so freaked out. With Entering the hospitals.  I will update for sure closer to the day...

Sorry about the Picture, this is the one they gave us in the Dr's to explain the Procedure. lol..

Baby's Fetal Echo Cardiogram

Yesterday, I went back to the Hospital for the Fetal Echo Cardiogram.   I was a little nervous before I went in, after saying  a little prayer a overwhelming feeling came over me encouraging me that everything was going to be OK.  The Doctors wanted to do this test  as a standard procedure, as Kaid's diagnosis  with the holes in his Left/Rt/ Ventricle.   As the Doctor was going over His little Heart, I started to cry.  She paused and said " Is everything OK?"  I told her this was close to home for me.  I proceeded to tell our story, and how we were sent to the hospital 4 times  for Echo's when I was Pregnant with kaid.  Had I known what I know now, that was a for sure sign that something was not right, However, no one told us anything different than completely normal, and standard.  This time around I am upfront with all the doctors, and want to know everything, asking TONS of questions , as we have been through this before.  Surprising,  this time around I am way more relaxed, calm, and collected. ( OK, for the most part :) )  I know that our little boy is going to be a great, healthy and wonderful little bundle of Joy!   OK, back to the office visit, So then another Dr. Came in to verify that the Ultra Sound tech, Dr. did the right thing, and got all the pictures.  As this Doctor was going over my stomach with the ultrasound wand, he said " Wow there, you do know what the sex of the baby is.. correct? "   I paused for a sec, and said, "Why did you say wow, I am already a little nervous here." ( Still can not believe I said that! ) I told him that I knew we were having a Boy.   He apologized, and showed me that in fact the reason was our little guy  was spread eagle, the DR.  had a good shot that indeed We were having a boy.  After laughing for a bit, the Dr. came and sat down next to me.  He explained to me that there was nothing that he saw that was alarming, or a red flag for any disorders. When he said that It kind of hit me in the stomach, this little baby is 100% healthy.  I am going to experience something So new, and different. OK, please if you are reading this do not think that I am rude, or mean.  I Love Kaid, No questions!  however our life has seen challenges for 5 years solid, it will be So nice to be new parents to another Boy who maybe has different challenges.  I am so blessed to be another mom soon, I can not think of my life with out Kaid, and Kent.  When I am down and out with our current situation, I think of our little boy that  I am carrying, and know that there is a WAY bigger picture.  He was sent here to us, for us.  For that We are Eternally Grateful.
